Barcelona maintained their perfect start to the La Liga season with a 4–2 win over Levante at the Ciutat de València, as Lamine Yamal scored twice and Karim Adeyemi ended a late home comeback in stoppage time. The result gave Barcelona five wins from five league matches, 15 points and a three-point lead over Real Madrid at the top of the table.
Xavi Espart opened the scoring in the fifth minute, collecting the ball on the edge of the box and firing a low right-footed effort past Levante goalkeeper Mathew Ryan. The goal was Espart’s first competitive strike for Barcelona, coming in his 11th senior appearance for the club.
Barcelona doubled their advantage in the 19th minute through Yamal. Raphinha drove into the penalty area, bypassed Ryan, and cut the ball back for the 19-year-old winger to finish from close range. Yamal then made it 3–0 three minutes after half-time, winning and converting a penalty to complete his third brace in Barcelona’s opening five matches of the season.
Levante mounted a late response rather than benefiting from a back-pass error by Espart. Iván Romero scored in the 79th minute and Roger Brugué added another in the 88th, suddenly reducing Barcelona’s comfortable lead to one goal and creating a tense finish.
Adeyemi settled the match in the third minute of stoppage time. The substitute embarked on a solo run from midfield, beat two defenders with a backheel and slotted a composed finish beyond Ryan to restore Barcelona’s two-goal margin.

The victory extended Barcelona’s winning streak in all competitions to six matches and matched the club’s best ever 100 percent start to a season. Their attacking output has been formidable, but the late wobble also offered Hansi Flick a reminder that greater defensive control will be required when opponents begin to press them more aggressively.
