Former Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah and his wife, Magi Sadeq, have welcomed their third child, a baby boy named Leil. The couple’s first son joins their two daughters, Makka and Kayan. Salah’s sister, Rabab, shared the news publicly, with reports noting that “Leil” translates from Arabic as “night.”

The family news comes shortly after a significant professional change for Salah. The Egypt international left Liverpool in summer 2026 after nine years at Anfield, ending his contract by mutual agreement a year early before joining Turkish Süper Lig side Trabzonspor on a two-year contract.

Salah departed Liverpool as one of the club’s defining modern figures. He scored 257 goals in 442 appearances and left as Liverpool’s third-highest goalscorer of all time. During his nine seasons on Merseyside, he won major honours and became one of the most prominent players in African and English football.

Makka and Kayan were familiar faces to Liverpool supporters during Salah’s time at the club, particularly through their appearances with him on the Anfield pitch after matches.
