Tottenham Hotspur’s Return to Training: A Countdown to Man Utd and the Road Ahead

Tottenham Hotspur’s international players are beginning to return as the club prepares to resume Premier League action against Manchester United at Old Trafford on 10 October. Following a three-week interruption to the league schedule, Roberto De Zerbi faces a short preparation period with his reunited squad.

Training has already resumed for players who were not away with their national teams. De Zerbi gave that group a week off before bringing them back to the club’s Hotspur Way training complex in Enfield for a concentrated spell of work described as a mini-preseason. The international contingent will rejoin progressively rather than arrive for one collective first session.

Among those working with De Zerbi during the break were Mohammed Kudus, Destiny Udogie, Dominic Solanke, Conor Gallagher and James Maddison. Dejan Kulusevski has also been involved in group training, although participation alone should not be treated as confirmation of match fitness or selection against United.

The immediate focus is the trip to Old Trafford. With some players already benefiting from sustained training and others returning from international commitments, Tottenham’s preparations will bring those groups together ahead of the resumption of competitive football. The confirmed story is the squad’s gradual reunion and De Zerbi’s training work—not a newly announced tactical overhaul or a verified change in midfield rotations.
