Tottenham Hotspur have finalized a deal to sign Egypt international forward Omar Marmoush from Manchester City on a season-long loan that includes a £60 million obligation to buy next summer. The financial terms of the agreement feature a guaranteed £50 million initial payout alongside £10 million in potential add-ons, £5 million of which are fully guaranteed. The 27-year-old attacker has completed his medical in London and joins North London short on the heels of former Manchester City teammate Savio, who arrived earlier in the week for an initial fee of £75 million. The Egyptian international originally made his move to Manchester City from German side Eintracht Frankfurt for £59 million in January 2025, following a prolific stint in Germany where he scored 20 goals in 26 appearances. During his tenure at the Etihad Stadium, Marmoush produced 16 goals across 62 appearances in all competitions. However, competing directly alongside Norway international Erling Haaland limited his central starting opportunities, leading to 13 of his 21 Premier League appearances last season coming from the substitutes’ bench.

Savio made an immediate impact by scoring on his Spurs debut yesterday evening, and Marmoush now stands in line to potentially make his debut against Newcastle United on Saturday Night Football. Manchester City retain no sell-on clause from Marmoush’s initial move from Frankfurt, having already fully cleared their financial obligations with the German club.
