Liverpool forward Rio Ngumoha has received his first full senior England call-up after being named in Thomas Tuchel’s squad for four UEFA Nations League fixtures across September and October.

The 18-year-old is included for England’s home match against Spain at Wembley on September 26, away fixtures against Czechia on September 29 and Croatia on October 3, and the return match with Czechia at Wembley on October 6.

Ngumoha is one of several players brought into Tuchel’s first England squad since the 2026 World Cup. The Liverpool attacker was part of England’s pre-World Cup training group but did not make the final 26-player squad for the tournament.

Liverpool confirmed the selection on Thursday, stating that Ngumoha would join Tuchel’s group for the opening block of the 2026-27 Nations League campaign.

The forward is listed among an attacking group that includes Harry Kane, Bukayo Saka, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Gordon, Eberechi Eze, Morgan Rogers and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Tuchel has also recalled Trent Alexander-Arnold and Cole Palmer, while Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott joins Ngumoha as another player given a first full senior international call-up.

Ngumoha’s inclusion represents a significant milestone in his development at Liverpool. While he had previously been involved in England’s wider senior set-up, selection for this competitive Nations League window gives him the opportunity to make his full international debut.

England begin their Nations League schedule against Spain at Wembley before a demanding sequence of away matches in Czechia and Croatia. The final match of the window sees the Three Lions host Czechia on October 6.
