Manchester United and Barcelona are among a growing list of elite clubs monitoring 15-year-old Norwegian winger Gabriel Rajković, who has already made history as the youngest player to appear in the Eliteserien.
Rajković broke Martin Ødegaard’s long-standing record when he made his senior debut for Vålerenga against Sandefjord on 15 March 2026 at the age of 15 years and 20 days. He has since become Vålerenga’s youngest ever goalscorer, finding the net against Bodø/Glimt in August at 15 years and 166 days.
The teenager has made an immediate impact at senior level. He has registered three goals and one assist in 14 appearances this season, accumulating just over 380 minutes of first-team football. His productivity at such a young age has attracted widespread attention from across Europe.
Reports indicate that Manchester United and Barcelona are closely tracking Rajković’s development, with TV 2 stating that both clubs have had representatives watch him in person. United are said to have an edge in the race because Rajković is a boyhood fan of the Premier League club, while Barcelona could offer a pathway to senior football once he turns 16.
Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Tottenham, Aston Villa, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich have also been linked with the winger. Despite the intense interest, no formal offers have been made and Rajković has insisted he remains fully focused on Vålerenga. He is under contract until December 2028, and any move would likely involve a record fee for the Eliteserien, potentially in the region of £15.9 million.
