Michael Noonan is on the verge of a major career breakthrough, with the 18-year-old Shamrock Rovers forward set to complete a transfer to Premier League outfit Nottingham Forest in January. Noonan flew to England on Wednesday to conduct talks as his contract with the League of Ireland side nears its expiration. Republic of Ireland Men’s Under-21 head coach Jim Crawford has thrown his complete support behind the talented young attacker, promising that his coaching setup will leave no stone unturned in helping propel Noonan to the very top of English football.
Crawford firmly believes Noonan possesses the raw tools and composure necessary to emerge through the ranks at Forest.
