CENTURY KING: Harry Kane Becomes Fastest Player to 100 Bundesliga Goals

Harry Kane became the fastest player in Bundesliga history to score 100 goals as Bayern Munich thrashed Union Berlin 7–0 at the Allianz Arena.

The England captain reached the landmark in his 98th Bundesliga appearance when he converted a 39th-minute penalty. Kane added a second goal in the 54th minute, taking his Bundesliga total to 101 goals in 98 matches.

Kane broke the previous record held by former Cologne striker Dieter Müller, who needed 129 appearances to reach 100 Bundesliga goals. The Bayern forward achieved the milestone 31 matches faster than Müller, whose record had stood since 1977.

Bayern dominated from the opening stages, with Jamal Musiala opening the scoring in the 18th minute after an assist from Alphonso Davies. Kane’s record-breaking penalty made it 2–0 before Michael Olise struck shortly before half-time to give the champions a commanding lead.

Kane headed home Olise’s cross nine minutes into the second half for Bayern’s fourth. Ismael Saibari then added a fifth in the 70th minute, before Olise completed his first Bayern hat-trick with goals in the 73rd and 76th minutes.

Olise was one of the night’s outstanding performers, winning the penalty for Kane’s historic 100th goal, assisting Kane’s second, and scoring three times himself.

The result maintained Bayern’s unbeaten start to the Bundesliga season and moved Vincent Kompany’s side to the top of the table. Kane’s double also took his overall Bayern record to 156 goals in 156 appearances in all competitions.

Kane arrived in Germany after establishing himself as one of the Premier League’s greatest strikers. He remains second on the league’s all-time goalscorers list with 213 goals, behind Alan Shearer’s record of 260.
