Arsenal are continuing to monitor Bournemouth forward Eli Junior Kroupi as they assess potential attacking additions ahead of the January transfer window.

The 20-year-old impressed in his first Premier League season after joining Bournemouth from Lorient in 2025, scoring 13 league goals. His performances attracted interest from several clubs during the summer, but a fractured metatarsal suffered in pre-season required surgery and halted the prospect of a transfer.

Kroupi has not featured for Bournemouth this season and is expected to remain out until late October or November. Arsenal are understood to be watching his recovery, with any possible January approach likely to depend on his return to fitness and form.

Bournemouth are under no pressure to sell. Kroupi is contracted to the club until 2030, and reports suggest the Cherries would demand a fee in the region of £80 million to £100 million to consider a sale.

Arsenal’s interest should be viewed as preliminary rather than evidence of negotiations. Kroupi is reported to be on a list of attacking targets, alongside Brentford forward Kevin Schade, as sporting director Andrea Berta and Mikel Arteta consider options for the second half of the season.

The Gunners explored attacking additions during the summer but did not secure a marquee forward. Their plans for January remain fluid, and Bournemouth’s position, Kroupi’s fitness and competition from rival clubs will all influence whether a formal move materialises.

Tottenham were also linked with Kroupi before his injury, while Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City have been credited with interest. Bournemouth’s high valuation helped deter approaches during the summer and is likely to remain a significant obstacle in January.

For now, Kroupi’s immediate focus is recovery and a return to Bournemouth action. If he resumes the form that made him one of the Premier League’s most exciting young attackers last season, interest in his future is likely to intensify when the transfer window reopens.
