Arsenal Reject Winter Exit for Noni Madueke Amid Atletico Madrid and Juventus Interest

Arsenal intend to keep Noni Madueke through the January transfer window despite reported interest from Juventus and Atlético Madrid. Mikel Arteta views the 24-year-old as important senior attacking depth and is expected to resist loan approaches, even though the winger has had limited Premier League minutes so far.

Madueke has played 23 minutes across Arsenal’s opening four league matches, all as a substitute, and added 17 minutes in the Champions League against Napoli. His reduced role has prompted speculation, particularly with Bukayo Saka ahead of him on the right and Max Dowman emerging as another wide attacking option.

Juventus and Atlético Madrid are reported to be monitoring the situation rather than conducting formal negotiations. The possible structure discussed in reports is an initial loan with an option to buy, but neither club has submitted an offer and no price has been set.

The accounts of Arsenal’s position are not entirely consistent. Earlier reports suggested Arsenal could consider a loan if Madueke’s minutes did not improve, whereas newer reports—attributed to Football Insider—say Arteta has decided against a midseason exit. The clearest present conclusion is that there is interest, but no active deal and no public indication from Arsenal that Madueke is available.

Madueke remains under contract until June 2030 after joining Arsenal from Chelsea in 2025 in a deal reported at £52 million. Unless Arsenal’s position changes or the player pushes for a move, his immediate task is to use the coming fixtures to regain a more regular role rather than seek an exit in January.
