The Argentine captain celebrated by climbing toward the supporters alongside Thuram. After the match, Martínez described the comeback as evidence of a resilience that Inter had lacked during difficult moments last season. Thuram, meanwhile, credited Martínez as the team’s captain and leader.
The victory moved Inter to nine points from three matches and maintained their 100 percent record. Napoli suffered a second consecutive league defeat after losing at home to Como in the previous round.
## Title Implications
The result strengthens Inter’s position as the early title favourite. Their ability to recover from a two-goal deficit against a direct challenger demonstrated both attacking quality and squad depth.
Napoli remain capable of competing for the Scudetto, but Allegri’s side must address the defensive lapses that allowed Inter back into the match. Højlund’s goal was a positive sign, though the team could not protect the advantage created by Politano and the former Manchester United striker.
