Manchester City produced the day’s headline move by completing the joint-British-record £125 million signing of midfielder Enzo Fernández from Chelsea. City also secured Everton forward Iliman Ndiaye in a deal reported to be worth up to £65 million.
Fernández’s arrival represented a major late-window coup for Manchester City, but Chelsea suffered a setback in their attempt to replace him.
