Former Socceroos Captain Paul Wade Reveals Shocking CTE Diagnosis

Former Australia soccer captain Paul Wade has been diagnosed with probable chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), according to a statement. Wade’s neurologist, Dr. Rowena Mobbs, has recommended a reduction in heading at the junior level. Wade has renewed his calls for all players under the age of 12 to be banned from heading the ball. CTE is a brain disease likely caused by repeated head injuries.
